Devonport City Council
On the 18th December, 2023, the Devonport City Council unanimously endorsed a Partnership Agreement with Paper on Skin™ which involves significant support for the competition and associated events to be held in Devonport in 2024 and 2026. We look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with the council and the Devonport community throughout our activities and events. North West Support ServiceS
North West Support Services (NWSS) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides disability support in the North West Region of Tasmania. NWSS partners with Paper on Skin™ to provide meaningful training and mentoring opportunities for clients with an interest in music, film, sound and lighting design and fashion. The band Alluvium, featuring Paul Corfiatis and Aaron Hopper, created an original soundtrack for the Paper on Skin™ films in 2022. That soundtrack went on to win a national APRA AMCOS music award for ‘Excellence in a Regional Area.’ Paul and Aaron created an extraordinary soundscape in 2024, and will once again put their talents to our gala and film soundtrack for 2026.

Janet De Boer OAM
Janet De Boer OAM is a leader in the Australian textile art community and editor of the online magazine Fibre Forum. Janet attended the very first Paper on Skin in 2012 and returned in 2018 as a judge for the competition. A true supporter of the event, in 2020 Janet initiated and sponsored an entirely new award in honour of Paper on Skin Concept Originator Pam Thorne and her equally 'paper-passionate' husband Neil. The award will continue in 2026 with an increased value of $1500.

CASEY HISCUTT MLC, INDEPENDENT MEMBER FOR MONTGOMERY
Casey Hiscutt, MLC, will be introducing a new award for 2026. ‘First Time Entrant’ AUD$1000. Casey is thrilled to provide an award recognising artist the creative courage and personal commitment required to participate in an event such as Paper on Skin™.
IAN WILD AND ASSOCIATES Pty Ltd
As a great supporter of the arts in his community, Dr Ian Wild is pleased to introduce a new award for 2026 - ‘Best Accessory Award.’ The prize will recognise the skill of the artist in overall accessorising of their piece, or for a specific headpiece, neckpiece, handbag, shoes, or a functional, manipulatable part of the garment.
Stephanie Reynolds – Artist and Consultant
Stephanie Reynolds, a finalist in Paper on Skin in 2014, 2016 and 2018, has made the shift to becoming a Paper on Skin™ sponsor with her support of the Designer Dreaming Award - $1000. The prize will be awarded to a work which evokes an historic period or draws inspiration from the glamour of couture design.
Anzara Clark Art
Anzara Clark’s inaugural entry into Paper on Skin in 2014 saw her awarded the Betta Milk Major Award. She has since devoted nearly a decade to researching and working with paper. Her passion is exploring the possibilities of paper as textile. In 2024 she sponsored the ‘Paper as Textile’ award to the value of $1200. In 2026 Anzara will continue to support the event with a similar package for the winning artist. The prize includes collectors editions of Volumes I and II of Anzara’s book Paper as Textile. The overall prize value is $1800.
Awagami Factory
The Awagami Paper Award has been a feature of Paper on Skin since 2020. The winner receives a selection of Awagami Editioning papers to the value of over AUD$500. The award recognises exceptional use of handmade, artisanal and/or non-commercial paper. The Awagami Factory is in Tokushima, Japan and we are thrilled to be partnering with a this family-run paper mill which - for centuries - has produced an exceptional range of high quality washi papers that are exported all around the world.

Home of the Devonport Regional Gallery, thank you to the skilled and hardworking staff at the centre. The paranaple arts centre also hosts the Devonport Visitor’s Information Centre, which was a daily stop-off for Paper on Skin visitors!
