Community and cultural Workshop Series

Tutor - Stephanie Reynolds
Special Guest Tutor - Cultural Practitioner Karen Smart

Following the success of the 2024 Universe of Paper project, Stephanie returns to lead a new series of community workshops as part of Paper on Skin™ 2026.

While this iteration may be more intimate in scale, it will still embody the spirit that made the original project so memorable and creatively rewarding for all participants.

A special inclusion in the 2026 program is the involvement of guest tutor, Karen Smart. Karen is a local artist, dancer and cultural practitioner. Karen will work with participants to create unique items informed by her cultural heritage and creative practice.

These objects will form part of the Welcome Ceremony to be held at Up-Close Showcase at Basalt (The Cove) on the 4th October.

Throughout Stephanie’s workshops, attendees will contribute to the creation of vertical garden panels, which will be installed in the foyer of the paranaple arts centre as part of the Paper on Skin™ Gala (3 October 2026).

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Festivals Australia program.

With thanks to Paper on Skin™ Major Partner, Devonport City Council.
